Tuesday Travel Tip: Always Leave Your Travel Itinerary With a Trusted Person
Feb 12th, 2019

No matter how old you think you are, it is very important to tell people your move and also leave them with your travel itinerary. It is very important. Never underestimate it!

Something as simple and short as this is enough.

“I am traveling to Dubai next week Monday for a 6 night vacation. Here is my trip itinerary”

Always cultivate the habit of leaving your travel itinerary with a family member or even a few trusted friends whenever you are embarking on a trip. Let them be aware of where you’re going. This doesn’t mean you are not independent, it’s just for safety purpose.

You might be so competent and have planned out your trip well but there are some time things do not go as planned. When things do not go as planned, you will have someone to call back at home (they won’t be shocked or surprised that you are away). If situation you are facing is really bad, they can even go extra mile to locate you wherever you are since they already have your itinerary.

Some countries around the world have smart traveler enrollment program. This enables them register  their trip abroad with the government so that the Embassy of your country can assist with any emergencies. This is a good one!

When traveling, no matter how many people are in the group, it is always a good idea to let a few close friends or family members know about the trip you are embarking on.

When traveling solo or even with a group, do you let people (trusted) know about your trip? Do you leave them with information about the trip?
